Locum Assistant Team Leader - Planning and Regeneration

Local Government

London

A large and well-established local authority in London is seeking an experienced Planning Lawyer to join them on a locum basis as an Assistant Team Leader of the Planning and Regeneration team.

With this being a senior level role, hybrid working is required, with office attendance in North London up to 1-2 times a week.

The client is able to consider two variations of this role. The successful locum Assistant Team Leader could either:

  • Take on management responsibility for some members of staff while also holding a caseload of complex planning, highways and regeneration matters;
  • Take on management duties only, acting solely as a mentor to more junior members in the team by providing support and training. In this option, you would not be expected to carry out any planning casework.

  • The successful candidate will be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor; Barrister; Legal Executive) and have extensive planning law experience. The locum Assistant Team Leader will support the Team Leader in the running and development of the Planning and Regeneration team, including deputising in the Team Leader's absence.

    Applicants are invited to discuss their salary requirements upon application. As a guide, we are looking in the region of £55-60+ per hour (umbrella).

    If you have the necessary skills, ambition and experience for this role please apply now via this advert.

    Should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chloë Cameron in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
