Background:
Our client is a leading challenger bank that provides financial services to small and medium sized businesses. They are seeking to expand their commercial legal function with two legal hires - Legal Counsel & Senior Legal Counsel.
You will be involved in:
- Drafting and negotiating a range of for commercial agreements with suppliers. This includes business process outsourcing agreements, agency agreements, referral agreements, marketing agreements, IT agreements, NDA's and other supply agreements.
- Advising on a variety of commercial legal issues impacting banking and financial operations.
- Knowledge and understanding of all types of contractual arrangements conducted in a highly regulated sector.
- An effective communicator with senior management, divisional colleagues and internal stakeholders as well as external bodies including external lawyers
What will make you successful in this role?
- A qualified lawyer (2+ PQE) with experience gained in an internationally recognised law firm or financial services company.
- Experienced in material outsourcing, IT/SaaS and other types of procurement agreements.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
