UK law firm with a global reach have an urgent requirement for a Contract Lawyer with specialist knowledge in public procurement and public contracts/projects.
It will afford the opportunity to the successful candidate to further enhance their expertise in a broad range of public procurement and commercial contracts work.
This role will be on an initial 6 month contract but is likely to extend. Hybrid role that would include some attendance in Central London.
The successful candidate will be working with and supporting clients such as central government departments, non-department public bodies, Local Authorities and private and third sector organisations providing services into the public sector.
Main Duties:
- Providing advice on a wide range of matters relating to procurement and commercial contracts alongside handling any complex matters as they arise.
- Negotiating and drafting all types of complex legal agreements, commercial and government law.
- Managing caseload of both medium and high-level procurement, projects and contract matters.
- Assisting the contracts team on a range of matters including significant capital projects, major procurement projects, academy transfers and Local Authority matters.
- Advising on a range of agreements including public procurement.
You must be a Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered), with the ability to work independently with limited supervision and have experience in Public Procurement.
