Senior Legal Counsel

An exciting new and exclusive instruction with a growing international Technology and Telecommunications organisation.

Reporting into the General Counsel (based in Amsterdam) this role will operate with a good deal of autonomy and independence.

Description

Key responsibilities for the role of Senior Legal Counsel will include:

• Provide legal advice and support to the organisation in all areas, including contracts, corporate governance, employment, ESG and regulatory compliance
• Negotiate, draft and review international commercial contracts.
• Support RFP processes and product development.
• Identify commercial and legal risks arising from proposed deals and projects.
• Provide commercial/legal contract training to the purchase and sales department.
• Identify the need for external legal advice and engage appropriate outside counsel on a range of legal and regulatory & compliance issues. Management of outside counsel, including budgets.
• Work with other departments across the globe to ensure consistency of advice

Profile

Suitable candidates for the role of Senior Legal Counsel will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Qualified Solicitor in the UK or relevant jurisdiction.
• Extensive of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department;
• IT, Telco or SI experience is preferred;
• Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and management;
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language;
