We are currently recruiting for a housing disrepair lawyer, solicitor, or barrister, to join a well-regarded local authority in London.

This is an excellent post for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, FILEX or equivalent, who is wanting to develop their experience in public sector housing work. Local authority experience is highly desirable, but they are open to considering other sectors with transferrable skills. You will have experience providing professional legal advice on all aspects of Housing work, particularly disrepair.

The successful housing lawyer will have significant experience in Housing Disrepair and ideally Possessions and Injunctions.

The housing and litigation team is very friendly and supportive, and can offer some training where appropriate. The team and council are highly regarded and have worked on some really interesting cases.

The post will suit an ambitious team player who will be able to adapt well within the local authority. Our client is happy to consider candidates from either a public sector or private practice background. The role will involve office presence once a week, the Council offices are easily accessible via public transport. The role is locum initially for 3 months and is highly likely to be extended long term.
