Senior Legal Counsel - Financial Services - 7 + PQE - East Mids

I am instructed on a Senior Legal Counsel opportunity with a national Financial Services organisation, looking for a Senior Commercial Lawyer to be the lead on legal and compliance matters.

The organisation is scaling and driving growth via offering new exciting products to its customer base.

Reporting into the Director of Legal, you will be given significant autonomy to lead on a variety of commercial matters including:

· Negotiations of commercial contracts with customers and suppliers;
· Advising broadly on legal risk and compliance;
· Advising on matters such as Consumer Credit, Data Protection and IP; and
· Managing stakeholder relationships across the business.

The role is appropriate for either an in house lawyer or a lawyer currently in a law firm, who has significant experience advising Financial Services organisations on commercial law and risk / compliance, who is looking for a step up in responsibility and significant autonomy!

The package includes an attractive salary, generous car allowance and opportunity to earn up to 15% bonus, plus pension etc and 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Some office contact will be required in the East Midlands HQ 2 days per week.
