A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced reward and benefits specialist, a Head of Reward to lead the Reward and HR Systems team on a mostly remote basis, with occasional travel to the office.
The primary focus of the role is reward and benefits, whilst leading subject matter experts within HR Systems. This is a unique opportunity to develop a market leading reward team and to shape, influence and implement global employee reward strategies at a top tier law firm, with potential to expand to partner reward.
Responsibilities
- Influence, develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to provide commercial, solutions driven advice and guidance, in line with the firm’s vision
- Supervise, develop, motivate, mentor and coach direct reports. Monitor performance to ensure the delivery of a first class service across the firm. Ensure a high standard of service to the firm’s internal clients to assist in developing the professional reputation of the department
- Consistently review and refresh internal processes and systems to enable the Reward and HR Systems team to deliver the most effective and time conscious solutions to a global audience
- Manage the Reward and HR systems aspects of all global firm wide projects, for example new office openings and timely renewal of all benefits (insured and others).
- Forecast, set, manage and monitor the Reward and HR Systems budget.
Reward
- Design, develop and implement a distinctive and market leading total global employee reward strategy
- Work closely with colleagues in global offices in relation to global variances of the employee reward strategy
- Develop the reward and benefits function to become a centre of excellence that provides trusted advice to colleagues globally
- Ensure the reward and benefits function operates efficiently and continually propose new ideas and initiatives in relation to reward and compensation
- Lead the firm’s global benefits strategy (employees and partners) to include pensions and recommend improvements
- Lead the annual global salary review and bonus process, working closely with HR colleagues in EMEA, APAC, LATAM and the US
- Responsible for selection and analysis of compensation benchmarking tools and advise on data to support the firm's compensation strategy, together with job coding where required
- Oversee and provide relevant data insights and analysis on the firms gender pay, together with reviewing all aspects of reward from a diversity and inclusiveness perspective to ensure accessibility and equality of approach to all
- Oversee and provide relevant data insights and analysis for partners’ remuneration for the Remuneration Committee, as and when required
- Keep up to date with new legislation and legal requirements
- Provide support across the global offices in particular HR colleagues in APAC, EMEA, LATAM and US
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, understanding the wider needs of the Firm.
HR Systems
- Lead, supervise and develop the HR Systems team to improve and widen the scope of existing processes, policies and procedures, in particular on a global basis
- Oversee the work of the Senior HR Manager - Systems and Data to ensure smooth running of the monthly payrolls for the UK and specific global office payrolls, HR Information System and production of management information and analytics.
Experience
- Professional services experience, ideally gained within a partnership structure
- Significant reward and compensation experience to include designing reward and benefits strategies and leading compensation processes such as salary review and bonus
- Global reward and compensation experience/exposure, in particular familiarity with local variances in implementing reward and compensation strategies globally
- Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation around benefits schemes including pensions legislation
This is a permanent, fully remote or hybrid role, with the occasional travel to the office. Part time candidates will also be welcome to apply.
