About the Company

Sellick Partnership are excited to be working exclusively with a national construction and facilities company who are looking for a Construction Solicitor to join them on a permanent basis.

As the Construction Solicitor, you will be joining a large company who deliver small and large infrastructure and civil engineering projects as part of existing long term relationships. The company has an annual turn over of around £2 billion. Working as part of the central inhouse legal team, the Construction Solicitor will be responsible for providing advice and assistance on legal and commercial contract matters across the business with a focus on construction. The successful Construction Solicitor will also have the opportunity to make the most of flexible working arrangements, contributing to a positive work- life balance.

As a Construction Solicitor, your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Undertaking a range of contentious and non contentious contract and construction matters
  • Working closely with the delivery and commercial teams with a specific focus on civil engineering and construction projects
  • Preparing and negotiating on a wide range of construction documentation and contracts
  • Advising on legal/contractual issues arising on projects across the divisions
  • Conducting and advising on contentious matters including adjudications and other forms of dispute resolution procedures
  • Participating in training initiatives in relation to legal issues pertinent to the business
  • Working extensively with industry standard forms such as JCT and NEC to name a few

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Construction Lawyer with prior experience of non-contentious and contentious construction work. Experience of contentious construction work including adjudication and other forms of DRP would also be ideal.

The successful Construction Solicitor will be joining a close-knit team and will be working on a variety of interesting work, so apply NOW to ensure you do not miss this new opportunity!
