Construction Solicitor (Non Contentious) - Oxford/Hybrid Working

A commercial law firm with a national presence and reputation is seeking to recruit a solicitor to their construction team in Oxford.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join the department at associate or senior associate level (depending on experience). Whatever level you come in at you will play a key role in the continued development of the construction law offering in Oxford, working alongside an experienced partner within the team.

You will be joining a team dealing mainly with non contentious construction matters on behalf of clients including large private companies, education establishments, public bodies and government departments

Work undertaken within the department includes things such as:- 

  • Drafting forms including the JCT and NEC suites
  • Drafting of collateral warranties, parent company guarantees, bonds and other documents
  • Reviewing or drafting sub-contracts and collateral warranties from sub-contractors and sub-consultants
  • Drafting of purchase orders and vesting agreements
