Confidential - Head of Legal and Company Secretary
A prestigious organisation in the transport infrastructure sector is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join their team in a key leadership position. This is a confidential opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of legal strategies, ensuring efficient operations and providing invaluable legal guidance.
The role will have overall responsibility for the legal team and be fully responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of comprehensive legal strategies and initiatives.
- Overseeing the efficient and effective collaboration of the legal team.
- Providing expert legal advice to the business, with a focus on safeguarding commercial interests.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Fulfilling the role of Company Secretary for the organisation and associated group companies.
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks.
Knowledge, Qualifications, and Skills:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with a valid practising certificate in England and Wales.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience, gained in a respected commercial law firm or in-house position.
- Experience in diverse legal fields, preferably with exposure to infrastructure or regulated industries.
- Company secretarial experience would be advantageous, but is not a pre-requisite.
