In this key role, you'll shape their legal training strategy, design professional skills training, and manage related L&D projects, acting as an instrumental part of their ambitious growth plans.

The position requires you to be a qualified conveyancer/solicitor with a proven background in management and development of teams and will see you working on a multi-site basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the firms training strategy and collaborate with various stakeholders to design and implement professional skills training
  • Manage Learning & Development (L&D) projects and programs, including budget management and contributing to company-wide projects
  • Ensure efficient administration of the training function including record-keeping, budgeting, and communications
  • Facilitate training on legal and business skills, leveraging innovative and blended learning solutions
  • Provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and remain updated with latest legal trends and legislations
  • Foster a culture of life-long learning and facilitate smooth transitions for colleagues during on-boarding, promotions, or transitions to new roles
  • Ensure effective supervision, mentoring, and coaching processes for learners
  • Monitor and optimise professional qualification channels and apprenticeships
  • Maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Requirements:
  • Experience in strategic learning design and delivery in a regulated professional services business
  • Extensive experience in delivering training to employees
  • Qualified under SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) or CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers) or equivalent
  • Proven managerial experience and ability to effectively support team development
  • Experience in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment
  • Experience with Agile, Design Thinking, and User Experience methodologies
  • Familiarity with law firms or regulated professional services is preferred
  • Excellent presentation and technical literacy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and digital learning systems
  • Strong ability to build relationships with customers and key stakeholders at all levels
This is a great chance to contribute meaningfully to an innovative, forward-thinking firm.
