Commercial law firm in Leeds is looking to recruit a Property Litigation lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. The team has extensive experience in dealing with this complex area of the law. They assist clients in all areas of their property needs, whether as occupier, investor or developer. On the occupier side they act for many household names in the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors across large portfolios. On the investor side they act for institutional landlords, funds and trusts, both public and private.  In addition to dealing with portfolio asset management matters, you will have the opportunity to support on investment transactions and disposals.  On the developer side the team acts for numerous substantial clients (both public and private) from traditional housebuilders, student accommodation, build to rent, senior living, commercial developments and substantial regeneration projects. This area of work involves strategic and risk management advice; rights to light and other easement disputes; development agreements; JV disputes and restrictive covenants. They also advise on a number of niche areas of law, including property related telecommunications issues, judicial review, and agricultural law.

Ideally you will have experience of working within the framework of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, as well as more general experience in dealing with L&T issues such as forfeiture, dilapidations, rent arrears and possession actions. This is an opportunity to work alongside the firms’ established partners on high quality, technical work at both a local and national level. As a key member of the team, you’ll also be supported and encouraged to participate in business development initiatives.
