Description

Main responsibilities include:

• Act as the main point of contact for any AML and sanctions queries across the firm
• Work alongside the head of compliance in drafting and developing the firm's AML and CTF policies
• Working alongside the head of compliance to provide technical expertise on AML and financial crime-related issues
• Provide AML and sanctions training across the firm
• Working alongside fee-earners on financial crime obligations
• Ensuring the firm is compliant with its compliance and financial crime obligations
• Potentially manage others within the team
• Potentially advise on anti-tax evasion and anti-fraud when there is a business need
• Ensure sanctions screenings are conducted thoroughly and advise on any sanctions issues arising

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Qualified lawyer (ideally 6 PQE) or if non-qualified, can demonstrate equivalent ability to advise at a senior level in regards to financial crime and AML issues
• Experience in a law firm environment
• Experience training other colleagues is desirable
• Experience in anti-bribery/ anti-tax evasion desirable
• Extensive technical knowledge in regards to AML, financial crime compliance issues
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated
• Effective-communicator
