Salary: £50 - 60 per hour umbrella (Locum / Interim)

Location: South East

Working: Remote

About the Adult Social Care Lawyer Role:

Sellick Partnership are proud to be working with an exceptional shared legal services team in the heart of the South East. We are looking for an Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a large alternative business structure operating on behalf of public Sector Clients which includes local government. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large shared service arrangement on a locum working basis which prides itself on being one of the market leaders for undertaking public sector work in the East Midlands and South East.

Using a 'virtual' legal office, the organisation seamlessly deploy the capacity of their entire team to support all of their clients, wherever they are based. Having obtained and maintained LEXCEL accreditation, the Law Society's quality mark, their team ensures a level of resilience which is not deliverable within smaller teams. They are also excellent value for money - a key factor in their expansion.

Key Responsibilities of the Adult Social Care Lawyer role:

  • You will need to provide support and assistance to members of the community who have physical or mental health problems; it is a key focus for local authorities and other public sector organisations
  • Adult Social Care Lawyers in the team recognise the safeguarding duties placed on their clients and provide specialist advice on all aspects of work connected to duties under the Mental Health Act 1983, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Care Act 2014
  • Experience of undertaking a range of adult social care matters to include but not limited to: court of protection, deprivation of liberty, mental health matters, mental capacity matters, community care

The role will be a remote working arrangement but you will have the opportunity to work from 1 of their 3 offices in central Northampton, Bedford or Cambridge up to 2 days per week.
