Solicitor/ Chartered Legal Executive - Conveyancing

The role has come about for someone to join the Stoke on Trent office, you will either be a full time solicitor/legal executive/ licensed conveyancer working within the conveyancing team.

You will be undertaking fee earning activities relating to conveyancing matters and you will be promoting the image of the firm at all times as a professional, effective and efficient provider of legal services.

Description

Attending and advising clients in relating to Conveyancing matters, such as sales, purchases - freehold and leasehold, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, shared ownership, new builds, including -

- Taking instructions

- Drafting/Reviewing Contracts

- Reviewing title and search results

- Reporting to Clients

- Liaising with other Solicitors, Building Societies, Estate Agents, Financial Advisors, Banks, etc

- Attendance on clients in person and by telephone

- Exchange of Contracts

- Completion

- Post completion work

- Land Registration

- Dealing with all Financial matters in connection with the above

- At all times complying with the requirements of Conveyancing Quality Scheme

- Opening and Closing files

- Compliance including AML/ID and Due Diligence

- LMS and Lender Exchange

- Minerva Onboarding

- Infotrack

- Monitoring ledgers and liaising with the Accounts department regarding outstanding amounts

- Supervision of secretarial staff/monitoring of workloads

Profile

- 2 years PQE of conveyancing experience/ Legal Executive experience

- Solicitor

- Licensed Conveyancer

- Requiring Minimal Supervision

- Ability and involvement with business development

- Current knowledge of conveyancing legislation

- CILEX qualified or Qualified as a Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer
