Public & Regulatory Solicitor NQ-4PQE

Highly regarded national law firm providing legal and advisory services are recruiting a lawyer, solicitor or barrister who may be newly qualified or with up to 4 years' PQE (grade on appointment depending on experience) to join their nationally-renowned Public, Regulatory and Advisory team.

The successful candidate will be involved in providing sound advice in the following areas:

•    Public & regulatory law decision making and disputes
•    Judicial review and statutory appeals
•    Advising on investigation and statutory and non-statutory Inquiries
•    Advising on and defending claims under the Equalities Act
•    Freedom of Information and EIR work
•    Procedural steps of litigation in Tribunal, High Court and above
•    ADR including mediations and local dispute resolution
•    Instructing and working with experts and counsel

Experience of acting for, or in relation to public bodies is desirable, in particular in central or local government, NDPBs, quasi-public bodies or the third sector. A passion for public law and strong academics will be just as good as experience. The successful candidate will work with partners on business development, so experience of or an interest in supporting business development activities and initiatives would be beneficial.
