INSOLVENCY LAWYER

This large offshore law firm is looking for an experienced insolvency specialist to take on a key role in its respected Bermuda Dispute Resolution team. You will be joining a very impressive and successful team that has experienced sustained growth over several years, and which can offer ambitious lawyers a clearly defined career path. You will work closely with senior colleagues but will take on a lead role in both matter management and in building/maintaining client relationships, so it will suit someone who is technically strong and a confident communicator. You will focus primarily on complex, high-value insolvency, and restructuring work but should also expect to get involved in the wider commercial litigation practice. Based on feedback from others who have moved here, you will quickly feel like an integral part of what is a friendly and collegiate team.

Process

Interviews will take place by videoconference with start dates typically around 4-6 months later (depending on your notice period). Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with visas and relocation.

Requirements

You will need to be UK/Commonwealth (Australia/New Zealand/Canada/South Africa) admitted (Solicitor or Barrister) and are likely to have at least 5 years’ relevant experience including significant exposure to high-value insolvency, restructuring and commercial litigation, gained in a good City/equivalent law firm or chambers. Applicants outside of that range are welcome to apply but note that 3 years’ pqe is required for work permit reasons.
