Head of Legal – Leading Energy Group

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global energy group as Head of Legal. This is a key position within the business and will report into the CEO. You must be able to operate autonomously and deliver advice confidently.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and reviewing various operational and commercial contracts
• Supervise and lead the work of various other team members
• Provide support on various M&A activities
• Provide support and guidance across the business in relation to construction projects cross UK & Ireland
• You will be responsible for undertaking company secretarial duties
• Handle disputes that may arise across the operational side of the business

We are looking for:

• Trained with a top law firm
• Previous in-house experience within the Energy sector or secondments
• You must have the right to work in the UK
• Previous experience working in a supervisory role within commercial/corporate law firm or in-house
• Highly experienced in drafting and reviewing various contracts
• Prior experience working and advising the energy sector is desirable
• Background in M&A is desirable
• Significant Power Project experience
