An opportunity for an experienced crime paralegal has become available with one of Yorkshire's leading law firms with multiple offices across the region to be based at its Halifax office. About the role:
Experience is not necessary but preference will be given to candidates with appropriate experience or a background understanding of crime and/or motoring law gained during their studies or previous employment. 


 
About you : 
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and ambitious person who wants to develop their technical and communication skills further through working on a wide range of quality instructions. You would be working closely with senior members of the team with work including motoring, crime and sports law. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a commitment to excelling in customer service.

Applicants should possess the following skills and experience:
  • Acompleted undergraduate degree (consideration will be given to those awaiting results)
  • Strong IT skills
  • A high degree of initiative and the ability to manage your time and your workload effectively
  • excellent communication skills and a desire to use these to promote the team and the firm both internally and externally
  • a willingness to learn, to drive your own career progression and to be proactive in achieving this
Progression opportunities are genuinely available, including potential progression to a training contract (or SQE route to qualification if applicable).  The firm has an annual application and selection process for this through its Pathway to Progression programme.
