Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial IT Lawyer to join their busy Commercial department. The position will be based in Manchester city centre however there is opportunity to work on hybrid basis and be in the office for 2 days per week.

This is a varied and interesting role involving drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements. The position offers a genuine opportunity for an ambitious, hard-working self-starter to push their career forward.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 2 years PQE
  • Be drafting and negotiating commercial contracts including IT / technology contracts (such as software, SAAS, IT public procurement tenders) as well as other more general commercial agreements
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commercial / business outlook to their work
  • The successful candidate must be able to point to strong communication skills and good business and commerciality skills. You will need to be hungry and ambitious and keen to push your career forward in what is an exciting industry sector.
Prior experience of similar work within a Legal 500 environment would be desirable, but the client would consider a In House lawyer looking to move back to private practice. Solicitors, Associate Solicitors or Partners will all be considered for this role.

On top of fee earning there will be an emphasis on developing the team & client base, as well as offering a clear path to Partnership. You will be working closely with Commercial Partners and the management board to assist with growth and development.
