This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Protection advisor to join an International Law firm and offer privacy consultancy services to a wide range of clients.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing large projects alongside the managing director
  • Assisting with client onboarding and finance
  • Building strong and lasting relationships with clients
  • Advising clients on a broad range of data protection and compliance matters including adhering to GDPR, data breaches and data transfer challenges
  • Undertake additional duties as and when required to support business needs
  • Assist fee earners as required
  • Engage in business development and source new business opportunities

Profile

Essential requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in Data Privacy or Consultancy within a legal space
  • Ideally a legal background (non-qualified legal professionals will be considered)
  • Data Privacy Qualification e CIPP/E or CIPP/M
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of UK data privacy regulations, further knowledge of regulations outside of UK would be ideal
  • Ability to summarise and explain data protection rules in a clear manner
  • Ability to understand complex business models, apply data privacy regulations and identify potential areas of non-compliance
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confident and resilient individual, ability to self-motivate and improve on a continuous basis
