Job Title: Commercial Associate
Contract: Permanent
Location: London
Salary: Competitive

Responsibilities of the Commercial Associate:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including supplier, distribution, IP, IT and technology, software licensing, system integration, website/app development, SaaS, and other cloud-related work.
  • Provide legal advice on business issues and contribute to commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Handle data protection and privacy matters, including drafting policies and procedures, advising on legal obligations and risks, and managing data protection projects.
  • Advise on intellectual property rights, draft IP licensing contracts, and provide guidance on IP provisions in commercial agreements and R&D contracts.
  • Offer regulatory advice, particularly in e-commerce and consumer regulations (public procurement experience desirable).
  • Undertake business development activities.

Requirements of the Commercial Associate:

  • Admitted as a Solicitor or equivalent.
  • 3+ years PQE working in a commercial team.
  • 2:1 degree or higher preferred.
  • Familiarity with telecoms and technology sectors would be an advantage.
