A local authority based in Berkshire are currently seeking a Childcare Advocate Lawyer for an initial 3-month period.
The successful Childcare Advocate Lawyer will only undertake advocacy on behalf of the council. There is no requirement to hold cases. You will be required to cover CMHs, IRHs and final hearings in public law childcare proceedings. You will not be required to deal with contested hearings unless they are listed on submissions only with less than half a daytime estimate.
Candidates must have previous experience working as a Childcare Advocate Lawyer within the public sector. Direct local government experience is highly advantageous.
Due to the urgent nature of the role, candidates must be available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice.
