Private Capital Lawyer

One of the world's largest and most prestigious law firms are looking for an additional Junior Associate to join their Private Equity team, regularly rated as amongst the best in the City.

The team is recognised for advising a blue chip client base including PE funds and PE-backed companies, other key fund clients, and private equity backed portfolio companies on all aspects of private capital including PE investment, Private M&A for PE funds and PE-backed companies, Equity arrangements, Growth capital, Venture Capital, and Infrastructure.

The practice is thriving, and in order to resource a boom in transactions forecast well into 2023, an opportunity has arisen for an additional Junior (probably Newly Qualified to three years' PQE) Associate.

The successful candidate will work closely with the firm's core private equity partners on private capital transactions including e buy-out (control) transactions, minority stake consortium investments, bolt-ons, carve outs, restructurings and recapitalisations, and exits. In order to be considered for a role in this high-quality team, you will have:

• Trained and probably been retained and gained up to three years' post-qualification experience in the corporate team of a City, international, or strong regional law firm;
• A stellar academic background;
• Demonstrable experience in private equity-style investment work;
• Willingness to take responsibility for delivering transactions, with appropriate partner and associate supervision;
• A common sense, down-to-earth approach;
• First rate drafting skills;
• Commerciality and the ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment; and
• The ability to deal with clients and colleagues in a relaxed and confident manner;

For solicitors with appropriate equivalent common-law experience based abroad, an excellent sponsorship and relocation package will also be available.
