An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global energy group as Head of Legal. This is a key position within the business and will report into the CEO. You must be able to operate autonomously and deliver advice confidently.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and reviewing various operational and commercial contracts
- Supervise and lead the work of various other team members
- Provide support on various M&A activities
- Provide support and guidance across the business in relation to construction projects cross UK & Ireland
- You will be responsible for undertaking company secretarial duties
- Handle disputes that may arise across the operational side of the business
We are looking for:
- Trained with a top law firm
- Previous in-house experience within the Energy sector or secondments
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- Previous experience working in a supervisory role within commercial/corporate law firm or in-house
- Highly experienced in drafting and reviewing various contracts
- Prior experience working and advising the energy sector is desirable
- Background in M&A is desirable
- Significant Power Project experience
