Court of Protection Solicitor/Legal Executive - Cambridge
Open to candidates with experience in dealing with court of protection matters or those with experience in related areas such as personal injury or private wealth looking to retrain into this specialist area.

A Solicitors firm with an outstanding reputation in the region is looking to add an additional Solicitor (NQ-5 years PQE) to their specialist court of protection team.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a team working on behalf of clients with a serious injury or illness dealing with matters such as advising and assisting in applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies, producing annual deputyship reports, financial reports and budgets
The role will entail a lot of client contact in different settings such as within clients homes, hospital and care homes and will entail assisting and advising clients and relatives at a very difficult time in their lives. Therefore it is crucial that any applicant is empathetic, friendly and personable with a passion to help clients as much as they can in order to provide a high level of support during what may be a very challenging time for people.
Ideally a candidate would have experience of dealing with court of protection matters in their current or previous roles. However, the firm will also be open to providing training to candidates looking to use their transferable skills from areas such as personal injury or private client who would be interested in moving into this specialist area.
The benefits package on offer at this firm is excellent and includes a salary which will be based on experience but which will be very competitive and will form part of a superb overall package. Other benefits include bonus schemes, private medical cover and generous annual leave entitlement amongst other perks.
The firm is based in central Cambridge but will be able to offer a degree of home working as part of this role for the right person.
This is a firm i have placed candidates with previously over the years and so i have consistently heard excellent feedback in terms of what a pleasant friendly and supportive culture there is within the team. I have seen first hand the progression prospects available within the practice and their approach towards staff development which leads to a very low turnover of staff.
Please apply ASAP or get in contact with Greg Whittaker at QED Legal to find out more about this opportunity.
