Competition Associate - 1-3PQE

Pure Search are instructed on a rare opportunity for a junior Competition and Anti-Trust Associate to join a growing international boutique practice.

The Firm:

Our client is a global leader in antitrust affirmative recoveries for corporate clients, acting for household names including Etihad Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Ticketmaster, Tiffany & Co, Live Nation and Marriott. With offices in London and California, they have supported corporate clients on a global scale who have incurred losses as a result of anti-competitive conduct.

The Role:

You will play a key role in enforcing private damages actions for corporate victims of cartels and other antitrust infringements, through litigation, ADR and negotiation. This will involve seeking damages and analysing the prospective interest in improving business terms with suppliers and service providers moving forward.

The role represents a genuine break from 'Big Law' where you will be afforded an even split between fee earning and business development. It is hugely unique in that there is no time recording, no billable target hours and hybrid working is actively encouraged, to the extent that you are welcome to base yourself anywhere in the world. As a result, the role will ideally suit a self-starter who is craving independence and a chance to see unfettered career progression.

The Candidate:

You will have at least 12-18 months previous experience in a Competition / Antitrust role at a leading City or international law firm. You will be at the stage of your career where you are looking for something different, with genuine flexibility, career progression and high levels of responsibility but without having to compromise on the quality of the work.
