Locum Prosecutions Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £60 per hour Umbrella– East Anglia

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Prosecutions Lawyer to join an excellent Public Sector Organisation in East Anglia.

This assignment will be for an initial period of 3-6 months subject to likely possible extension thereafter. The ideal candidate would work full-time on a predominately remote working basis with court attendance needed on a fortnightly basis. Candidates that have the relevant experience but can only work on a part-time basis may also be considered.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority but will also have a broad working understanding of Litigation to deal with a varied caseload. This position will suit candidates that have experience of conducting their own advocacy as attending court hearings will be required.

Duties may include:

• Managing a caseload of matters and reviewing work to ensure work is completed to a high standard
• Handling a mixture of Local Authority Prosecution matters including fly tipping, anti-social behaviours, closure orders and trading standards
• Advocating in court when required on a fortnightly basis

An attractive hourly rate of up to £60 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependant on experience.
