Responsibilities
- Patent Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify existing patents and prior art related to electronics inventions. Analyse the patent landscape to assess the viability of new patent applications.
- Patent Drafting: Prepare well-structured and comprehensive patent applications for electronics inventions. This involves describing the technical aspects of the invention and its novelty, while ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
- Patent Prosecution: Interact with patent examiners on behalf of clients to address any queries or rejections related to the patent application. Amend patent claims and arguments as needed to overcome objections.
- Intellectual Property Strategy: Advise clients on intellectual property (IP) strategies for their electronics inventions, including suggestions on patent filing, portfolio management, and potential risks and benefits.
- IP Portfolio Management: Manage the IP portfolio for clients, including tracking deadlines for patent filings, maintenance, and renewals.
