Locum Childcare Advocate

Locum Childcare Advocate
£50-60 DOE
Court Attendance is essential for this role
Are you a Childcare Lawyer or Barrister looking for a new in-house advocacy role within an incredibly friendly and supportive team?
Our client is looking for a qualified Lawyer, Barrister/Solicitor or CiLex who wants only to do advocacy. There will be no case holding required and the inhouse advocate will be asked to cover CMHs and IRHs in public law childcare proceedings representing the client authorities. The successful candidate will not be required to deal with contested hearings unless they are listed on submissions with only less than half a day.
Previous advocacy experience or experience as a barrister is highly desirable for this role. Those with experience of working in a local authority are highly desirable due to the nature of the role, but our client is also very interested in hearing from Childcare Lawyers from private practice, or Barristers, who have handled substantial public childcare matters in Court. Some hearings can be covered remotely, however the role will also involve some attendance at courts in Berkshire.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively, should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Kiran Purewal in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
