Planning Lawyer

6 Months+

Our client, a Local Authority based in Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced Planning Lawyer to join their small and friendly legal services team on a locum basis for an anticipated minimum period of 6 months.

Our client is preferably seeking a Planning Lawyer who would be able to attend committee meetings in person and offer some in person office attendance. Candidates seeking a fully remote working role will however be considered.

Our client is able to consider candidates seeking either a part-time or full-time working pattern.

Responsibilities of the Planning Lawyer:

  • Drafting S106 agreements / other planning agreements
  • Advising on planning matters
  • Attending (in person or remotely) and advising at planning committee meetings (monthly)
  • Providing advice to the Council in relation to enforcement notices, lawful development certificates and general planning advice

Experience required for the Planning Lawyer:

Our client is seeking a candidate with a strong background in planning law, to include drafting planning agreements and advising at planning committee meetings.
