In-House Real Estate/Business Lawyer (hybrid)

Reporting to the senior property lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in the organisation, and you will be involved in a broad range of matters not limited to real estate, supporting a fast moving and ambitious business with significant plans for expansion.
A key part of the role will entail assisting regional land teams to deliver practical and commercially acceptable solutions to commercial and legal challenges, by assessing the viability and robustness of major projects. You will manage external counsel, working collaboratively with the external panel law firms to assist with land acquisitions and disposals. You will have the opportunity to be involved in formulating policies to facilitate regulatory compliance across the business, assess and mitigate risk and help manage complex and high value litigious matters. In addition, you will be involved with data protection issues within the Group and provide some company secretarial support.

To be of interest, you will have a strong track record in real estate. Lawyers from a private practice background will be of equal interest as those already in-house. You should be a strong communicator, very commercially aware and solutions focused. You should also possess strong analytical and negotiating skills and be adept at dealing with stakeholders at varying levels.
