BD Manager (Restructuring & Insolvency)

This global law firm, with a great reputation, BD team culture and progression opportunities, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Finance practice, due to an internal promotion. The role will work with the Head of BD for Finance, another BD Manager and a BD Executive. This role will take ownership of the strategy for Restructuring & Insolvency, alongside the lead Partner for the group.  

The role will be quite broad, taking ownership of a range of campaigns and bids, leading on one of their flagship Finance thought leadership pieces. There is also the opportunity to get involved in client management, especially implementing more initiatives around the client listening piece. The role will work with a supportive Head of BD, who will fit the role around an individual, therefore this would be great role for a Senior BD Executive stepping up.

Duties include, but aren’t limited to:

• Developing BD plans for the group, sub-practices and key leaders; Acting as Client Relationship Manager for one key strategic client within in the Finance practice, working closely with the Relationship Partner; Developing consistency and structure for the client listening process for the Finance practice; Project managing key pitches, in collaboration with the central pitch team; Coaching Partners on pitch presentation and ensure pitch best practice across the group; Identifying and executing global thought leadership campaigns.

This role would suit an experienced Senior BD Executive who is looking for a step up or perhaps a BD Manager who’s looking for a new challenge. The team will build the role around an individual and put the needed support in place. Experience of a finance practice or a comparable transactional group would be highly beneficial. As well as experience of managing a pitch process.
