Our client is a prestigious Legal 500 insurance law firm based in Greater Manchester, seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Disease Fee Earner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.


Your new role
This Industrial Disease Solicitor role will see you handle a caseload of predominantly NIHL claims. The role involves a comprehensive set of responsibilities including reviewing documents, preparing reports, handling disclosure, and examining evidence such as medical and personnel records.
Successful applicants will be required to conduct investigations, obtain witness statements, instruct counsel and experts, and undertake research. You will also be expected to draft tasks, attend conferences and trials with counsel and deal with routine correspondence and court appointments.
The position requires consistent interaction with both insurers and insureds, while ensuring that court schedules are strictly followed. It also demands compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations and a commitment to uphold the company's values.


What you'll need to succeed
You should have experience dealing with disease cases. Alternatively, they would consider previous experience handling your own caseload of personal injury files. You should be an effective negotiator with the ability to use their initiative and demonstrate flexibility in tasks. Good listening and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain concentration, pay attention to detail, and self-organise. The role requires the ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and possess good IT skills.
