Locum Planning Lawyer – Midlands – 3 months – Local Authority – Remote Working – Up to £60 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group are seeking a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority based in the Midlands to join their planning team on a 3 month initial contract with the likelihood of extension thereafter.
Role: Locum Planning Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months initial contract with the likelihood of extension thereafter
Working Arrangement: Both full time and part time applicants will be considered, remote working
Hourly Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella however this is dependent upon relevant Planning Law and Local Government experience
The Requirements:
The Organisation are seeking a Qualified Lawyer to join their team on a locum basis. You must either be a Solicitor, Barrister or an experienced CILEX professional, with experience handling a Local Government Planning Law caseload.
The successful applicant will have experience advising on section 106 agreements and planning enforcement matters, as well as highway agreements such as section 38 and 278 agreements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Independently handling a general Planning Law caseload including advising on section 106 agreements, compulsory purchase orders and planning enforcement matters
- Advising on any highway agreements that arise including section 38 and 278 agreements
- Assisting with any certificates of lawful development alongside providing general legal planning advice
- Assisting with any projects or planning developments that may arise, however there are no current planning projects ongoing
