Industrial Disease Solicitor
Leeds
QED Legal are working with a Leeds-based multi-service law firm who are looking for an experienced industrial disease solicitor to join their expanding team.
Whilst it has traditionally been thought that disease is a shrinking area of law, this particular firm have grown the team year on year and it is now the largest department in the business consisting of 13 lawyers in the department with no signs of slowing down.
The work is a wide mix of industrial disease work from your standard NIHL, HAVS, and RSI matters to more unusual matters like radiation injury, it really is a broad and interesting mix of claims that you will be dealing with.
This is a claimant and litigated role but the firm are happy to speak with those from a defendant background who have a keen interest in the area of law.
This is a role that needs someone to be able to hit the ground running, so the right candidate will have ideally 2 years’ experience of running their own litigated caseload.
The firm has a young and progressive feel to it, and the disease team is very close knit. The team get together for lunch on a monthly basis and firm wide there is a randomly chosen ‘team of the month’ that gets treated to an activity day or meal out.
There is a salary up to circa £45k depending on candidate and a generous bonus scheme that varies depending on team and seniority but has paid up to £17k extra annually (depending on performance).
