Pure Search are instructed by a leading City law firm looking to grow their Media, Entertainment & Sports practice.
The Company:
Our client is regarded as one of the standout names for Media, Entertainment and Sports, based in the heart of the City. They have worked with household names including Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, through to Puma and several high-profile Premier League footballers.
The Media, Entertainment & Sport Litigation team is a standalone practice and the incoming associate would work solely on matters within the creative space, rather than a broad commercial disputes role which encompasses finance or insurance disputes. We have helped the firm with statement hires from Tier 1 ranked Litigation practices over the past 2-3 years and they are looking to make a further junior-level hire.
The Role:
You will take on a broad and varied caseload of Media, Entertainment & Sports matters, with a mix of both litigation and commercial arbitrations. Given the nature of the firm's work in the media space, there will also be a regulatory disputes aspect to the role.
The role will also offer a good work/life balance with 1500 billable target hours and one of the best bonus structures of any firm outside of the core US practices.
About You:
You will have at least 12 months post-qualification experience at one of the leading Legal 500 practices for Commercial Litigation and be at a stage of your career where you are looking to specialise in Media, Entertainment & Sports disputes. You will ideally have had some exposure to a media or sports disputes and will be committed to developing your experience further in this space, with a genuine leader in the market.
