Deputy Data Protection Officer

Salary: £40 - 50 per hour umbrella (Locum / Interim)

Location: South East

Working: Remote

About the Deputy Data Protection Officer Role:

Sellick Partnership are proud to be working with an exceptional shared legal services team in the heart of the South East. We are looking for a Deputy Data protection Officer to join a large alternative business structure operating on behalf of public Sector Clients which includes local government. The work is specifically looking for candidates to undertake the role of Deputy Data Protection Officer and provide support to the organisations Data Protection Officer and Executive Director in the East Midlands and South East.

Using a 'virtual' legal office, the organisation seamlessly deploy the capacity of their entire team to support all of their clients, wherever they are based. They offer the benefit of carefully developed business processes and the latest case management technology to ensure client matters are dealt with efficiently and expeditiously.

Having obtained and maintained LEXCEL accreditation, the Law Society's quality mark, their team ensures a level of resilience which is not deliverable within smaller teams. They are also excellent value for money - a key factor in their expansion.

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Data Protection Officer role:

  • To provide legal provision in respect of freedom of information, UK GDPR, data management and other areas of legal practice
  • To be the Deputy Data Protection Officer
  • To review the organisations data management processes, policies and procedures
  • To provide legal advice on all data management aspects to local authority and public sector clients relating to data protection laws

The role will be a remote working arrangement but you will have the opportunity to work from 1 of their 3 offices in central Northampton, Bedford or Cambridge one day per week.
