Position: Legal Counsel - Commercial
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time, predominately office based
Location: Cambridge
Salary guide: Up to £85,000 per annum, bonus and excellent benefits

We are working on behalf of international technology company seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to provide legal advice and support to their operating divisions and group business functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on a full range of contracting issues, reviewing and drafting various commercial agreements to include software and procurement contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Advise the business on a full range of contracting issues, including but not limited to hardware/software procurement, research partnerships, and business development & marketing arrangements.
• Review and draft general commercial contracts and other documents, including NDAs, master service agreements, master procurement agreements, terms and conditions, SOWs, research and development contracts with academic and commercial partners, consulting agreements, technical testing agreements, and general procurement contracts for real estate, materials, and equipment.
• Support the business with key areas of statutory compliance, including anti-bribery, modern slavery, data protection, and export control.

Requirements:

• A UK qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive) with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience with either an In-House or Private Practice background
• Excellent commercial background having experience in general commercial agreements.
• Ideally have exposure and an understanding of key areas of statutory compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Package:

• Salary up to £85,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.
