Our client is a large and prestigious City-headquartered international law firm.

Their Employment team in London is top ranked by the leading directories. They handle a range of work which is high quality and usually Partner led. They handle complex industrial relations, matters involving trade unions and work councils, complex transactions and restructurings, board-room matters and other strategic issues.

It's a great place to learn, and rewards hard work and a common-sense, can do attitude. Associates at all levels benefit from client involvement and close partner contact: this is a group which will support you in giving you the level of responsibility you ask for and can handle.

A consistent and growing flow of high quality work has led to a vacancy in the team at mid-Senior Associate Employment lawyer. This is a tremendous opportunity to work with a very highly regarded group in a very highly regarded firm.

In order to be considered you will have:

  • Trained and most likely have at least 4+ years' post-qualification experience in the Employment team of a City or international firm;
  • Strong legal skills including drafting, negotiation, project and management, and business development skills.
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to work hard,
  • A common sense, down-to-earth approach. The team is tight knit and free from ego.

Our client would also consider Barristers with appropriate experience looking to transition to a role in a law firm.

There will be some flexibility on PQE, but candidates would be expected to be able to demonstrate solid knowledge of Employment law as an area of expertise. For this role, England & Wales-qualification as well as experience from a peer City firm is required.

For further information, please send your CV in complete confidence to David Von Dadelszen.

Jameson Legal acts as an employment business for temporary recruitment and as an employment agency for fixed term contract and permanent recruitment.

Please note: Where a level of experience, such as 'PQE', is indicated, please note that this is a guideline only and represents the amount of time we would usually expect a candidate to accumulate the requisite level of experience. This does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience
