Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working in partnership with a large Local Authiority based in the North West to recruit a solictor specialising in commercial contracts and procurement law and procedure.

You will join an established legal team that is both friendly and supportive, with a strong team ethic. You will be directly involved in varied and high-quality legal work and make a positive difference to local communities. The commercial work is interesting and varied and can include information management, technology, construction, intellectual property and grant agreements.

This is a great opportunity for somebody who already has some solid commercial contracts experience looking to progress in their career. Previous public sector experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from people from all parts of the legal sector. You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/FILEX with a current Practicing Certificate. In return for your experience, commitment and motivation, you will enjoy working in a modern environment.

We welcome applications from experienced commercial lawyers or people with the commitment and ability to develop and grow in this area of legal practice. Most importantly, we seek applications from enthusiastic and adaptable people who are motivated to use their research and analytical skills to provide practical, solution-focused legal advice to internal clients.

The successful commercial contracts lawyer will be able to take advantage of flexible, agile working arrangements including 100% home working. All necessary IT and equipment will be provided by the client.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. You can do so by contacting Jennifer McPhail in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.

Sellick Partnership is proud to be an inclusive and accessible recruitment business and we support applications from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances. Please note, our advertisements use years' experience, hourly rates, and salary levels purely as a guide and we assess applications based on the experience and skills evidenced on the CV.
