WuXi Biologics are a global Pharmaceutical, technology, research and development organisation headquartered in China. They have seen extensive growth worldwide, establishing major manufacturing sites across Europe and the USA, with key European sites based in Ireland and Germany.


This role is a fantastic and rare opportunity for a Senior Employment lawyer to work in-house as a member of WuXi's Global Employee Relations and Employment Counsels team ("GEREC Team"), who primarily focus on supporting HR teams across the globe to ensure compliance of HR management, practice and operation from a legal perspective. This role will be proactively offering advice and solutions to regional HR teams as well as regional and country business leaders regarding the full spectrum of HR topics from an employment law perspective, including, but not limited to, recruitment, compensation and benefits, retention, discrimination, harassment, performance, discipline and separations. This role will also provide support on routine operational employee data related matters per the company's policy and SOPs. The geographic coverage of this role is primarily in Ireland but may be expanded to EMEA depending on growth of the business.


The successful applicant will have the following qualifications & experience:

  • A qualified solicitor in Ireland /UK, with significant post qualification experience.
  • Specialist knowledge of Employment Law.
  • Proven experience in operating at a senior level and advising HR Teams on high level, complex international Employment Law issues.
  • Strong training and experience in both Private Practice and an In-House Environment.
  • Strong knowledge of local, national, and international employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent skills in negotiation, communication, and decision-making.

Job Offer

The package on offer includes a highly competitive salary, consisting of a generous base salary, with the potential for bonuses and share options and a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week in the Dundalk, County Louth offices.

This is a permanent role, requiring occasional international travel and regular attendance on site in WuXi Ireland's Dundalk headquarters. Qualified applicants requiring relocation sponsorship may be considered.
