Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications) + Incentives and Benefits
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (35-hour week with an hour for lunch)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Conveyancing Fee Earner to join their team. The role involves managing residential property matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing high-quality service to clients. Key responsibilities include processing client matters, drafting legal documents, liaising with external agencies, and maintaining accurate records.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Case Management: Process and manage client matters efficiently using correct office systems.
- Financial Management: Promptly bill and collect money due to the Firm.
- Document Preparation: Draft contracts, transfers, and other relevant documents.
- Client Interaction: Respond promptly to client enquiries and attend to clients in person or over the phone.
- Liaison with Agencies: Work with search companies, HMRC, and Land Registry; submit searches and stamp duty returns.
- File Management: Open/close files, carry out conveyancing procedures, and maintain accurate records.
- Risk Management: Complete and monitor risk assessments for client matters.
- Training and Development: Stay updated with relevant laws, attend training courses, and contribute to department development.

Key Results

- Timely Completion: Progress client matters professionally and timely.
- Target Achievement: Meet gross fees and chargeable time targets.
- Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell the Firm’s services.

Benefits and Incentives

- Client Introduction Bonus: 8% of fees received from introduced clients (exclusive of VAT).
- Incentive Scheme: Quarterly bonus of £200 if targets are met.
- Pension Scheme: Available after three months.
- Holiday Entitlement: 20 days per year plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 25 days.
- Christmas Period: Additional paid holiday if required to work.
- Sick Pay: 10 days per year after one year of service.
- Medical Appointments: Up to 4 appointments per year without using annual leave.
- Annual Bonus: 10% of fees over £125,000, payable in March with a top-up in April.

Qualifications and Experience

- Experience: Previous conveyancing experience.
- Qualifications: Relevant legal qualifications (paralegal, solicitor, etc).
- Skills: Strong communication, organisational skills, and ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
