This role requires a dedicated Data Privacy Specialist who will manage data privacy compliance within this leading automotive brand. The successful candidate will be based in our Reading location and be part of the data protection function working closely with our legal department.

Description

The Part Time Data Protection Manager will be part of a small privacy function within the legal team. This privacy professional will support the wider business units by

  • Ensuring data privacy compliance.
  • Overseeing data protection audits and investigations.
  • Providing expert advice on data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Managing data breach incidents and reporting as required.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining data protection policies and procedures.
  • Providing data protection training to the workforce.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on data privacy matters.
  • Reviewing and advising on data protection impact assessments.

Profile

To be successful in this role as Part time Data Protection Manager, the applicants should have:

  • Degree in Law or related field.
  • Certification in data privacy such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT.
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in data privacy impact assessments and audits.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
