Sellick Partnership is thrilled to have partnered with a Local Authority in the Southeast in the recruitment for a Commercial Contracts Lawyer.

Our client, a District Council, is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their small, friendly and supportive Legal Services team on a fixed-term contract, for a period of 12 months.

Our client is able to offer a very flexible working environment. If preferred, the successful Commercial Contracts Lawyer can work predominantly from home.

Responsibilities of the Commercial Contracts Lawyer:

  • Advice, negotiation and drafting of a range of contracts and agreements on behalf of the Local Authority, to include;
    • Funding and grant agreements, memoranda of understanding, contracts for goods and services, subsidy control
  • Procurement advice

Experience required for the Commercial Contracts Lawyer:

  • Qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent
  • Previous Local Government experience would be desirable, but not essential
