Taylor Root is working with a prominent residential property developer, who are looking to hire a Senior Commercial/Construction Litigator for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

This role is to support with complex Commercial, Construction and Building Safety Litigation. You will be providing integral hands-on legal advice, whilst also co-ordinating with the Group Legal Team and managing external counsel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on contentious legal matters, either directly, or together with other members in the Legal team and/or external counsel.
  • Managing existing law firm relationships, and identifying opportunities to create additional value add.
  • Providing an overview to of key activities and progress of matters to the Head of Regulatory and Disputes.
  • Supervising and mentoring more junior lawyers within the team.

Experience required:

  • Ideally, 5+ years' PQE.
  • Commercial or Construction Litigation background.
  • This role could suit someone coming straight from private practice or moving from an in-house legal team.
  • Demonstrable communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial and strategic awareness.
