The Contract Manager role is a key position within the legal department, requiring a keen understanding of legal processes and a strong ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

  • Dealing with the contractual and legal aspects of responding to a tender opportunity (in conjunction with the sales team), contract drafting, review and interpretation, developing and negotiating contractual agreements with customers, partners, re-sellers, and suppliers.
  • Advising colleagues regarding contract issues that arise in the course of business;
  • Assist with the legal review of business opportunities across all stages of the bid process;
  • Coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying contractual risks and proposing mitigating strategies
  • Assisting in the resolution of contractual disputes
  • Providing training to staff on contract-related topics
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of contract statuses
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulations


A successful Contract Manager should have:

  • Outstanding knowledge of contract law
  • Knowledge and understanding of the bidding process, particularly for large international or government customers.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple contracts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field
