Business Development Manager role aligned to the leading Energy practice of this midsized international law firm. London with truly hybrid and agile working. Salary up to £75k.


This international law firm, with a sector approach to their BD strategy, are looking for a BD Manager to join their Energy team. The Energy team is positioned globally and focuses on Renewables, Oil & Gas, Mining & Commodities, Infrastructure and Conventional Power. The team has seen record growth and success this last year and have established themselves as a market leader in the space.

 

The Business Development Manager will help to continue this recognition as well as focus on growth in areas such as ESG compliance, energy efficiency and sustainability, with some interesting initiatives to lead on! The firm have recently launched their new 5-year strategy and the BD Manager will work on initiatives to implement this. They are also due to launch a new client programme, so there will be opportunities to be client facing in this role. The team also have a Pitch Manager aligned to Energy and Infrastructure, so this role won’t have to deal with a high volume of bids, allowing it to be really strategic.

 

Key duties:

  • Drafting and developing the annual BD plan for Energy Monitoring the budget, and ensuring ROI is delivered Implementing and managing a range of international campaigns Working on Energy focused pitches with the Pitch Manager and coaching Partners ahead of meetings Working with the central Marketing, Comms and Events teams on profile raising initiatives Managing internal comms for all BD news relating to the Energy practice Conducting industry, client and competitor research Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team

 

 

Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in the Energy sector and previous experience is desirable. Experience within legal or wider professional services is essential.
