If you’re a commodities lawyer thinking of making a career move, this in-house legal counsel position within an innovative, data-driven hedge fund would be worth you considering.
This position will require the in-house legal counsel to work closely with the global commodities trading team. You will receive exposure to senior management and investors as you provide legal advice in relation to all physical commodities, with particular focus on the metals sector. You will be responsible for contracts in relation to commodities warehousing, logistics, insurance and other commercial matters in the commodities space. You will be negotiating terms and conditions, working on specific transactions, swaps and repurchase agreements, trade finance documentation and dealing with ad hoc queries from around the global offices.
We are looking for a qualified, mid-level lawyer with a good grounding in private practice and strong legal physical commodities expertise. Ideally you will have some knowledge in metals, but transferable experience in gas and power, shipping, agri / soft commodities would also be of interest.
