This national practice is offering an amazing opportunity to work alongside two highly experienced commercial property partners and other real estate colleagues.
Depending on the experience of the successful candidate, this can be a hybrid role, involving a mix of remote working and the firm's modern offices in Hertfordshire and London.
There is also the possibility of part-time or condensed hours with this role, though this would probably be a minimum of 4 days.
They're looking for an experienced commercial property solicitor, or Legal Executive, to join their thriving, collegiate team..
The role:
- Handling a broad range of real estate and real estate finance work, on behalf of clients including property development and investment companies, banks and financial institutions
- The role will involve bridging lending work (lender side), so real estate finance experience is important
- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of transaction documents, including purchase and sale contracts, option agreements, commercial leases, agreements for lease and other occupational documentation
- Carrying out due diligence, such as reviewing and reporting on title, planning and searches and the preparation of draft certificates and overview reports
The candidate:
- The successful candidate may have c2-4yrs PQE as a very rough guide, but candidates outside this range are invited to apply
- Solicitor or Legal Executive
- Experience of the areas outlined above, especially real estate finance, in particular bridging loans
- Experience of working with developers, borrowers, investors, landlords and tenants
- Whilst the team does not handle residential property, some loans are on residential properties e.g. flats, small developments, so an understanding of residential property is important.
- Some bridging loans are development loans and property development experience is a distinct advantage
- Willingness to be flexible and pitch in as and when required
- Strong IT skills, including major Microsoft packages and data rooms
- Very good academics
The package:
- Highly competitive, indeed very generous, basic salary, with additional billing related bonus scheme
- Commission scheme for any work introduced
- 28 days' holiday
- Private healthcare (after 6 months)
- Laptop and mobile provided, along with home set up equipment if required
- Hybrid working available - 3 days in the office, 2 at home
